Paul McCartney did something Saturday night he hasn't done in many years--he was an opening act.
McCartney was the first one to take the stage on the second and final night of the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Paul did eight songs, including the premiere of three tracks off his upcoming album New, set to hit stores on October 15th.
Sir Paul opened with "Magical Mystery Tour" and also tossed in "Let Me Roll With It," Another Day," "Lady Madonna" and "Live And Let Die.
Paul said he agreed to make an appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival because he is such a big fan of radio. "I listen to it all the time. And, you know, often if you're lucky you've got a good sound system in your car, so it's like having giant headphones."
McCartney's next dates are scheduled for Japan in November.
