Billy is expected to work with ghost writer Fred Shruers on the book. The original book was supposed to come out in 2011, but Joel pulled the plug on it. The plan then was to market the book as a tale of "divorce, depression and drinking." Billy Joel says that's not what the "essence" of his book should be. No word yet on a title or publication date.
