Happy birthday to Sir Paul McCartney. The rock 'n roll legend turns 71 this week. Paul McCartney and childhood friend John Lennon began writing and performing together as teenagers in Liverpool in the late 50s. By 1962, The Beatles were beginning to establish themselves as a draw back home in England.
In February 1964, The Fab Four landed in the U.S. and made their historic appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. That launched the British Invasion and music was never the same. The Beatles split in 1970, and Paul launched into super stardom with Wings and as a solo act. He's currently on tour. We're saluting Paul McCartney!
