A show honoring the 50th anniversary of The Beatles Washington DC concert (their first outside a TV studio in the U.S.) has been announced for February 11, 2014.
The event will be held in the same location as the original concert, the former Washington Coliseum. Organizers were not able to land Paul McCartney or Ringo Starr for the event, however.
A Beatles-tribute band will appear and there'll be a special exhibit of photos taken at the historic concert by noted photographer Mike Mitchell.
On another note, plans to release a film of The Beatles' 1964 Washington DC concert are held up in court. We'll keep you posted.
