Eric Burdon will not be performing in northern Israel next Thursday after he received death threats. Burdon's manager said, "We are under increasing pressure, including many threatening e-mails that we are receiving on a daily basis. I wouldn't want to put Eric in any danger."
The threats have reportedly come from anti-Israeli activists opposed to the country's treatment of Palestine. However, an Israeli newspaper reports that there is no evidence of actual threats against the former lead singer of The Animals. Burdon is set to perform in The Netherlands this weekend, and is next U.S. show is set for August 25th in Michigan.
