Mike Love and Brian Wilson are hitting the road on separate tours this summer after their reunion trek last year -- with Love getting use of the name The Beach Boys.
The two camps have gone back and forth in the media about the gulf between them, but Love tells us he's "not closing the door" on future projects with Brian, Al Jardine and David Marks, who'll be joining forces for their summer dates. He says "Nothing's closed, but the 50th anniversary was negotiated to go out for a certain number of dates. That was an agreed upon period that came and went...and it was great to see the fans turn out and appreciate seeing all of us together."

Also celebrating a birthday today...Sly Stone (Sylvester Stewart). He was a successful Bay Area D-J and record producer before finding Hall of Fame success leading The Family Stone. The group's psychedelic soul-rock sound crossed racial and social lines with such hits as "Dance to the Music," "Hot Fun in the Summertime" and "Everyday People."
